Taste of Camarillo (Camarillo Ranch House, 3771 Mission Oaks Blvd., Camarillo, 482-5893). S. Navy during World War II. Contributors: Horace Bristol, Charles Kerlee, Fenno Jacobs, Victor Jorgenson, Wayne Miller and Dwight Long. The exhibit was prepared by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibit Service. Through Labor Day weekend. Wed.-Sun., 1-4 p.m. “Discovering a Sense of Place: 19th Century Conejo Founding Families,” an exhibit dedicated to the founding families of the Conejo Valley. A permanent exhibit of artifacts describes the history of the Chumash in the Conejo Valley. A reproduction of the onetime stagecoach stop and hotel includes a large display of artifacts, one-room schoolhouse, pioneer home, Spanish adobe and Chumash display.
