Nash Gets Featherlite Win
Rocky Nash of Murrieta dominated the second half of the Home Depot 150 and won his first Featherlite Southwest Series race before a crowd of 5,802 at Irwindale Speedway on Saturday night.
Nash, the pole-sitter with a speed of 101.937 mph, fell back to second on the opening lap and was as far back as fourth on lap 32.
On a lap 81 restart, Nash pushed his Chevrolet passed Matt Crafton’s Ford to grab the lead, and he went on to win by 4.42 seconds over Zach Niessner.
Nash’s average speed was 86.042 mph and he earned $6,775.
