Aug. 11 is the deadline for filing to seek one of the seven available seats on the South Coast Water District board in November’s election.
A $550 fee is required if the candidate wants to include a 200-word statement in the sample ballot booklet.
Filing is at the Orange County registrar of voters office, 1300 S. Grand Ave., Building C, in Santa Ana. Information: (714) 567-7600.
