Computer maker Hewlett-Packard Co. said it will supply 90% of Amazon.com Inc.’s computers during the next 18 months, replacing machines from rivals Sun Microsystems Inc. and Compaq Computer Corp. Amazon.com bought Hewlett-Packard machines for the first time in November. Hewlett-Packard also said it will sell more printers, scanners and cameras on Amazon.com’s Web site, the biggest store on the Internet. Hewlett-Packard is locked in a battle for customers with Sun. Both make powerful computers and software that run corporate networks and Web sites. Palo Alto-based Hewlett-Packard’s shares fell $4.31 to close at $120.19 on the New York Stock Exchange, while Seattle-based Amazon.com fell $3.44 to $48.31 on Nasdaq. Sun, also based in Palo Alto, tumbled $3.38 to finish at $76.63 on Nasdaq.
