SAN CLEMENTE
The Capistrano Unified School District will be accepting applications until June 21 to fill the school board positions being vacated by trustees Robert Rowlett and Mildred Daley.
Rowlett represents a portion of north San Clemente, along with Capistrano Beach and a portion of San Juan Capistrano. Pagelow represents the rest of San Clemente.
A committee of three school board officers--the president, vice president and clerk--will screen applications before final approval and appointment by the full board on June 26.
Applications will be accepted at the Jerome Thornsley Education Center at 32972 Calle Perfecto in San Juan Capistrano and are available at the center and all district schools.
Applicants must reside in the representative area of the position for which they are applying.
