SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday for Dominic Ondryas, a former St. Margaret’s Episcopal School student who was killed in an automobile accident May 25 in Wisconsin.
Ondryas, 20, was a film major at New York University’s Tisch School of Film and Television. He was scheduled to graduate in December and had recently completed work on a 16mm short film titled “Erosion of Beauty.”
“There was no one that worked harder than Dominic Ondryas,” said Mark Campaigne, headmaster at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School.
According a Wisconsin State Highway Patrol report, Ondryas swerved to avoid a piece of lumber on the highway and lost control, causing the vehicle to roll over many times.
A passenger, John Glosser, 21, of Balboa Island, was injured in the accident.
The memorial service will begin at 9:30 a.m. at St. Margaret of Scotland Episcopal Church, 31641 La Novia, San Juan Capistrano.
