At Least 4 Reportedly Slain by Hutu Rebels

Rwandan Hutu rebels have killed at least four people in raids into northwestern Rwanda from neighboring Congo, the army said. The rebels, most of whom fled to Congo after taking part in the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, attacked a tiny hamlet near the border town of Gisenyi on May 24, killing between four and six people, a Rwandan army spokesman said. The rebels, who fled back into Congo after the attack, are believed to also be responsible for two other raids last week.
