Hansen Wins Adoption Guild Tennis Title

Brett Hansen won the men’s open singles title in the 39th Roy Emerson/Adoption Guild Charity Tennis Tournament Sunday at the Newport Beach Tennis Club.

Hansen beat Michael Jessup, 7-6, 6-3, in the final. Hansen and teammate Carlos Bustos later lost the open doubles final to Peter Smith and Kelly Gullett, 6-2, 7-5.

Other winners included Kathy Fritz-May and Marcin Rozpedski, who defeated Bustos and Ann Mall, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, in the open mixed doubles final, and Donnie Visser and Peter Aldrich, who defeated Jim Pugh and Bruce Man Son Hing, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3, in the 35-and-over men’s doubles final.
