Caterpillar to Sponsor Disney Park Exhibit

Share

Caterpillar Inc. has agreed to sponsor a farming attraction at Walt Disney Co.’s California Adventure, the Anaheim theme park that opens next to Disneyland in February. The Peoria, Ill., manufacturer of earth-moving equipment will sponsor a one-acre exhibition that will include an orange grove, insect exhibits and displays of the evolution of farming. Corporate sponsors pay Disney to have their names and products displayed at attractions. Terms of the Caterpiller deal weren’t disclosed. The long list of corporate sponsorship at Disneyland goes back to the earliest days, when Monsanto underwrote the House of the Future, to the current refurbishing of Autopia with help from Chevron Corp. Attractions at the new park include a winemaking exhibit sponsored by Robert Mondavi Corp.
