Real Estate Trends Conference to Be Held in L.A.

A wide range of real estate observers and players will gather Wednesday to analyze and discuss the significant changes facing the industry during the Trends 2000 conference in downtown Los Angeles.

The daylong conference will feature six discussions in large forums and a dozen smaller concurrent sessions. Subjects include trends in technology, demographics, local real estate markets, capital markets and “dot-com” tenants.

Speakers will include Anthony Downs, senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and the Urban Land Institute; Gerald L. Katell, president, Katell Properties; and Sherry J. Bower, managing director of CB Richard Ellis.

The program at the Regal Biltmore Hotel is presented by the Urban Land Institute Los Angeles District Council and the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate. The event is sponsored by The Times.
