SBN.com Appoints Kaltgard Chief Technology Officer

Chaim Kaltgrad has been appointed chief technology officer of SBN.com in Irvine, an Internet Yellow Pages publisher. He was formerly vice president of program management for Pacific Softworks. In addition, Matt Wilson, previously senior auditor at Maryanov, Madsen, Gordon & Campbell, CPAs, was named controller, and Stella Wilmot is the new national sales manager.

* Gary Simmons has been named associate at Taylor & Associates Architects Inc. in Newport Beach. He joined the firm, which specializes in health care architecture and interior design, in 1994.

* John Seazholtz has joined the board of directors of Mariner Networks, a subsidiary of Anaheim-based Odetics Inc. He is the former chief technology officer of Bell Atlantic. Seazholtz is also a member of the Odetics board of directors.

* Michael B. Sutherland has been appointed vice president and dental director of SafeGuard Health Enterprises Inc. in Aliso Viejo. He succeeds Herb Kaufman, who resigned to pursue opportunities closer to his home in Arizona. Before joining SafeGuard, Sutherland was vice president and dental director of Community Dental Services.

* Richard A. Zona has joined the board of directors of New Century Financial Corp. in Irvine. Zona is vice chairman of U.S. Bancorp.
