Re “Ahmanson Ranch Foes Cheer Ruling on Newhall,” June 5.
There seem to be some flaws in this article. Washington Mutual spokesman Tim McGarry and Ventura County Supervisor Frank Schillo stated that the developer has complied with requests to do environmental studies on effects on traffic and habitat. I believe they are in error. I believe that no environmental studies have been performed on traffic since before 1992. After that, superficial studies were performed on endangered species and the environment.
I moved to Ventura County because of the mess Los Angeles city and county have made of the environment. I do not want this to happen in Ventura County. Must our children and grandchildren and other future generations grow up with concrete? I want them to see the beautiful hills, the flowers, the animals and our oak trees.
Help to protect and save the open spaces. Future generations will thank you.
