Student Activists Targeted, Group Says

Hard-liners are expanding a crackdown on the pro-democracy movement to include student activists, a board member of Iran’s largest student organization said. Five members of the student group Office for Fostering Unity have been summoned by courts and released only after signing “pledges not to take part in protest rallies and demonstrations,” said Akbar Atri, one of the group’s seven board members
