Pool Temperature Too Warm for Good Workout

“Water Fitness Programs Are Making a Big Splash” (May 15) troubled me. Your article clearly states that the pool temperature ought to be between 82 to 85 degrees for optimal conditioning. As a lifelong swimmer who really pushes herself in the pool, the range you suggested is really too warm to get a good aerobic workout. I was especially frustrated by your article as many of the pools in L.A. are already too warm for serious swimmers.
