* Update--When the WNBA season began, the coach of Seattle’s expansion team, Lin Dunn, was rocked on her heels when informed the center she pulled out of the expansion draft, 6-foot-6 Spark backup Nina Bjedov, was going to sit out this season to rest her troublesome back. But Dunn vowed to retain rights until 2001, feeling Bjedov was the best center in the league who wasn’t a starter last season. But with her team sinking like a rock in the standings, Dunn sent Bjedov’s rights to Cleveland Sunday for Rocker guard Michelle Edwards, hopeful that the veteran Edwards can add some juice to Seattle’s woeful offense. The Storm ranks last in the WNBA in points, shooting percentage, free-throw shooting and assists. If that wasn’t bad enough, Dunn’s team may be the league’s slowest. In three games last week the Storm was outscored, 40-0, on fastbreaks.
