Re: “Anaheim Launches Investigation of Women’s Shelter,” May 18:

So the opponents of the battered-women’s shelter Eli Home are concerned with the safety of its occupants because it is dangerously close to a heavily traveled road. No kidding.

As if the occupants’ alternate existence of living with a violent thug is a blissful room full of pillows. Opponents’ dishonesty would almost be amusing if it weren’t so callous and shockingly devoid of soul.

I for one would rather have a good and noble organization such as Eli Home as a neighbor than a pack of weasels that are more concerned with property values than they are with any scrap of human values that might still be locked away in their frozen hearts.
