“Fosse,” the dance show that played the Ahmanson Theater before it went on to win the 1999 Tony for best musical, returns to Los Angeles in its newly staged touring production. The song-and-dance extravaganza showcases classic and rarely seen work of renowned choreographer-director Bob Fosse, with excerpts from “Sweet Charity,” “Chicago,” “All That Jazz” and many other stage, film and TV shows. 6:15 pm: Movies

The periodic AFI Associates Classic American Film Screening Series continues with a screening of the 1978 musical comedy “Grease,” at Arnie Morton’s the Steakhouse. The evening includes dinner and a post-screening discussion of the film with Olivia Newton-John, who plays the virginal Sandy in the movie, and director Randal Kleiser. The event is a fund-raiser for the American Film Institute. The series will continue on July 27 at the same location with a screening of William Friedkin’s “The French Connection.”

Award-winning actress and playwright Charlayne Woodard performs a live radio theater performance of her autobiographical play, “Neat,” about her adolescence, her relationship with her mildly retarded aunt and growing up black in America in the 1960s and ‘70s. The L.A. Theatre Works production will be recorded for future broadcast on KCRW-FM (89.9).
