10 Injured in Ky. Crash When a Van Hits a Tree

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. —
Ten people were injured, one critically, when a van crashed head-on into a tree Wednesday in southeastern Kentucky, state police said.
The van was filled with volunteers at the Appalachian Ministries program at Cumberland College in Williamsburg, near the Tennessee line.
The vehicle went over an earth embankment on Kentucky 779 outside Williamsburg after driver Jennifer Cox, 19, of New Haven, Mich., became distracted, Trooper Craig Sutton said.
