Millennium Project Wins Round in Court

Share

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled that the city of West Hollywood complied with the California Environmental Quality Act in its review of the $300-million Sunset Millennium Project. The ruling was in response to a lawsuit filed by Save Our Strip and other area residents who have opposed the retail, office and hotel project on Sunset Boulevard. The developer, a partnership composed of Maefield Development and Apollo Real Estate Advisors, said the judge’s ruling will allow them to proceed with the project. But G.G. Verone of Save Our Strip disagreed and said the group will file an appeal within 60 days. The Sunset Millennium development would include the refurbishing of the Peterson Publishing building and the former Playboy headquarters.
