Grigory Gorin, 60, popular Russian playwright, screenwriter and humorist. Gorin was the author of several Moscow theater hits, including “A Pox on Both Your Houses,” “Royal Games” and “Requiem.” He also wrote the screenplays for several beloved Russian films, including “The Real Munchausen” and “Ordinary Miracle,” and co-hosted a television talk show called “The White Parrot.” Gorin was born in Moscow on the day in 1940 when Russia’s war with Finland ended. Like Russian greats Anton Chekhov and Mikhail Bulgakov, he became a doctor before he turned to the theater. He was most closely identified with the Lenkom, a popular repertory theater.
