Chapman Avenue between Harbor Boulevard and Berkeley Avenue in Fullerton will undergo major reconstruction beginning Monday.

The project is expected to be completed by mid-August and will include removal and replacement of failed asphalt, placement of an asphalt overlay, repair of damaged curbs, gutters and sidewalks, and adjusting the water valves and manholes to make them level with the repaired street.

Chapman will remain open to traffic during the work, and in the first phase, the north side of the street will be closed and the south side will be re-striped to one lane in each direction. In the second phase, the south side will be closed and the north side re-striped.
