DANA POINT
Additional storm-drain filters are being added this week. The filters, part of a $2-million drainage project, will be added to about 15 storm drains and will filter out oil, grease and small trash.
The filters are in addition to the six filters installed last summer as part of an experimental project.
The city has used two filtration systems, one by Maintenance Products Inc. in Huntington Beach, the other by United Storm Water Inc. in city of Industry. The city may purchase filters from both companies to use in all of its 393 storm drains.
