Fullerton Man Severely Injured in Fire
A Fullerton man suffered severe burns in a garage fire, officials said.
The blaze began at 2:50 p.m. at 1854 W. Valencia Drive. The victim, whose name was not released, was working on his car at the time, said Ed Gallegos, a fire dispatcher. Paramedics took him to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was being treated for second- and third-degree burns over more than 90% of his body, said Jean Necas, a nursing supervisor.
“He’s in very critical condition,” she said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
