The treasurer of DiTech.com Inc. has left the Costa Mesa mortgage lender, becoming the fifth executive to depart since three top managers were indicted early last month on federal extortion charges, a company spokesman said Monday.

JoAnn Pham, who had joined DiTech in 1995, could not be reached for comment about her departure as vice president and treasurer, positions she has held since 1998. Previously, Pham, 49, was chief financial officer.

Rick Gillespie, a spokesman for DiTech’s parent company, GMAC Residential Holdings, declined to provide any details on her departure.

On May 2, three top managers were indicted on charges of extortion and accepting illegal kickbacks. They later were fired. The three are Jay Marx, a former operations manager; Gregory DeLong, escrow services supervisor; and Vincent Pozzuoli, former vice president of loan originations.

The indictment accuses them of threatening to stop using ATM Corp. of America unless the Pittsburgh real estate services company agreed to pay them and to put Marx’s father-in-law on its payroll as a ghost employee.

The company’s chief executive, J. Paul Reddam, also resigned May 2. Reddam has not been charged, and Gillespie said the job has not been filled. GMAC, a unit of General Motors Corp., acquired DiTech last year.
