Image Entertainment Posts Net Gain in 4th Quarter

Image Entertainment Inc. of Chatsworth reported net income of $1.71 million for the fourth quarter ended March 31 compared with $1.06 million for the fourth quarter last year. Revenue dipped to $22.77 million from $23.04 million.
For the year ended March 31, the company reported net income of $1.4 million compared with $1.71 million for fiscal 1999. Revenue increased to $83.67 million from $76.73 million.
The company acquires the rights to distribute entertainment properties in digital video disk (DVD) format.
