Hollywood Chamber to Discuss Area Projects

Share

Even glitter and glamour can trickle down the economic ladder. In the wake of multimillion-dollar development initiatives in Hollywood, including the TrizecHahn and CineramaDome projects, a number of smaller projects have begun to sprout in the movie capital. Roughly 20 to 30 projects--primarily restaurants, clubs and retail/services stores--have recently been completed or are currently under construction or in the planning stages, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President Leron Gubler said. Developers and elected officials plan to discuss the proliferation of such projects as well as update major projects at the chamber’s Economic Summit 2000 today. Mayor Richard Riordan, City Councilwoman Jackie Goldberg and CIM Group’s John Given are among the participants expected. The event is scheduled for 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. For more information, call (323) 469-8311.
