DETROIT —
A Mesaba Airlines plane headed from Detroit to Allentown, Pa., was diverted to Cleveland after a passenger was stung by a scorpion.
The 40-year-old man, whose identity was not disclosed, was released from a hospital after getting treatment.
An airline representative said the scorpion probably hitched a ride in carry-on luggage from either the Southwest, Mexico or the Caribbean.
