A Brentwood developer has started construction on a 200,000-square-foot office building in West Los Angeles that will be occupied by Los Angeles County’s Department of Public Social Services.
The $43-million project by Sonnenblick-Del Rio Development Corp. will include four floors of office space and subterranean parking at the corner of Pico and Sepulveda boulevards. The granite-clad building will serve as headquarters for the agency’s Rancho Park Division.
The firm also is building a similar facility--the San Gabriel Valley headquarters for the Department of Social Services--in El Monte for $39 million.
