The band Trip the Spring will perform on Fender instruments for the mural-unveiling ceremony honoring their maker, Leo Fender.

The event will start at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fullerton Transportation Center parking structure on Pomona and Santa Fe avenues.

The structure occupies the site of the original factory where Fender created some of his instruments. Trip the Spring will perform a blend of alternative rock, blues and jazz.
