THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Monday:

BUENA PARK

* Dolly Avenue: A burglary was reported in the 5600 block at 4:45 p.m. Friday.

* University Way: A petty theft was reported in the 6500 block at 11:34 a.m. Friday.

* Notre Dame Drive: A petty theft was reported in the 5400 block at 8:34 a.m Friday.

DANA POINT

* Cambridge Road: Legal documents were reported stolen from a residence in the 34000 block at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Acacia Street: Police investigated an abandoned vehicle in the 18000 block at 5:35 p.m. Thursday.

GARDEN GROVE

* Kerry Street at Reading Avenue: A report of an assault at 2:24 p.m. on Wednesday. Three men armed with a pipe, club and bat jumped out of a white minivan and attacked a man walking in a residential neighborhood. The attackers tried to strike the victim’s head but he blocked the blows with his arms. The men fled in the van and the victim suffered bruises and lacerations.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Aladdin Drive: Three people were reportedly trespassing in the 4000 block at 6:06 a.m. Thursday.

* Bolsa Avenue: A man was reported drunk in public in the 6000 block at 12:20 a.m. Friday.

LA PALMA

* Ivywood Drive: Reports of a reckless driver in the 5100 block at 1:40 a.m. Friday.

PLACENTIA

* Berkenstock Circle: Someone put rocks into a vehicle’s gas tank at 8:57 a.m. Sunday.

SAN CLEMENTE

* Avenida Arlena: A woman reported a garden statue was stolen from her yard in the 400 block at 9:20 a.m. Friday.

* Calle Mayo: A resident reported seeing a group of people with a rifle walking in the neighborhood in the 3900 block at noon Friday. Deputies found the group and saw that the gun was a BB air rifle.

YORBA LINDA

* Furnace Creek Road: Vandalism was reported in the 5800 block at 4:11 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports: Anaheim, Brea, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Fullerton, Irvine, Laguna Beach, La Habra, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach, Orange, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Tustin and Westminster.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department makes incident reports available on the Web. Go to https://www.ocsd.org and click on “Sheriff’s Blotter.” Incident reports are updated every few minutes and cover the cities of Dana Point, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Stanton and Villa Park, as well as the county’s unincorporated areas.
