* The film, TV and stage actor won a Tony for the musical “Coco” and starred as Odo on “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.” He plays the Rev. Oliver in the current film “The Patriot.”

Pedal Pal: Saturday morning I get up early and go to join my friend T.J., who was my college roommate and is now my agent. We do a 17-mile ride on mountain bikes in the hills of Griffith Park. Usually we’re done before noon. It’s a killer ride--but we take our time.

Man and Chef: Before I collapse when I come home, I put a piece of salmon in the smoker and eat a hearty breakfast. Then I’d probably go up to my studio to stretch and read. Right now I’m reading Ethan Cohen’s “Gates of Eden.” Friends would probably come over for a casual dinner of that salmon and something my wife, Judith--we’ve been married nearly 37 years--makes. I’m just her sous chef. I chop and clean up after her, because she’s brilliant.

Hump Day: Sunday I walk “the hump,” the series of three ridges in Griffith Park that go higher than the Hollywood sign. That’s an intense walk. I don’t know what I would do without Griffith Park. It’s always been an important part of my life in the city. And on my way back home to Hancock Park, I stop at the Hollywood farmer’s market and pick up some fresh produce. At home I make a seasonal fruit salad, read the paper and try to do the New York Times crossword puzzle.

Popular Fare: Sunday we’d have an early dinner at Noshi Sushi, the sushi bar on the edge of Koreatown. You have to get there early; otherwise, you stand in line. Then I’d go to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences or the Television Academy in North Hollywood for a screening of a new release. It’s great to see films there, or the Director’s Guild. If films don’t look good there, they aren’t going to look good anywhere.
