GARDEN GROVE
Students on Thursday will be cooking green eggs and ham, having pajama parties during the day and receiving visits from Snoopy, the mayor and the Cat in the Hat.
The unusual activities are part of Read Across America, a nationwide literacy campaign.
The event falls on the birthday of Thoedore Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss, and his Cat in the Hat is serving as mascot for the event.
