LAGUNA NIGUEL

Work is going forward on setting up a youth advisory committee to the City Council. The group first met on Feb. 14. The 13 or so teenagers, all Dana Hills High School students from Laguna Niguel, are now seeking backing from the school’s PTSA, the booster club and the site council, which is similar to a legislative body that’s composed of teachers, parents and students.

Since the City Council doesn’t know much about the formative committee, the youths this week will send letters introducing themselves to members, said Ryan Zaffuto, 18, co-chair of the proposed Laguna Niguel commission.
