23 Women in Business Named to Hall of Fame

The Los Angeles chapter of the National Assn. of Women Business Owners will induct 23 Southern California entrepreneurs into its Hall of Fame at its upcoming luncheon March 24.

The women being honored have owned their businesses at least since the 1970s. Collectively they generate more than $500 million in annual sales and employ more than 10,000 workers. The honorees:

Kathy Aaronson, CEO of the Sales Athlete Inc.; Gloria Allred of Allred, Maroko & Goldberg; Jane Arnault, of JurEcon Inc.; Betsy Berkhemer-Credaire, president of Berkhemer/Clayton Inc.; Sue Bohle of The Bohle Co.; Frieda Caplan and Karen Caplan, principals of Frieda’s Inc.; Barbara Casey of Casey, Sayre & Williams Inc.; Peggy Tsiang Cherng of Panda Management Co.; Ellen Daigle of Ellen’s Silkscreening; Patty DeDominic, CEO of PDQ Personnel Services Inc.; Brenda French of French Rags; Stacie Hunt and Sally Jewett of On the Scene Productions; Susan Kendall of Kendall Frozen Fruits Inc.; Sue Laris of Downtown News; Barbara Lazaroff of Imaginings Interior Designs; Brenda Levin of Levin & Associates Architects; Mary Micucci of Along Came Mary; Anne Ready of Ready for Media; Bobbi Rice of B.P. Rice & Co.; Sandra J. Rygel, retired co-founder of Payden & Rygel; and Deborah Sussman of Sussman/Prejza & Co.

NAWBO-LA also is honoring Marcy Carsey, television producer and co-partner of Oxygen Media, as its Woman Business Owner of the Year.
