The City Council approved 3 to 2 a zone change ordinance Monday that will allow bed and breakfasts along a downtown section of 7th Street. Shawn Boyd, who was one of two council members voting against the ordinance, said the council will look at revisions to the zone change at the next City Council meeting. Prospective inn owners would still need to apply for a conditional use permit, Boyd said.
