Tiger Woods is back on tour, along with a strong cast of stars in the Bay Hill Invitational at Orlando, Fla. It was enough to make Vijay Singh turn up his game up a notch Thursday.

Singh made bogeys from the bunker on the first two holes, but kept his patience on a blustery day and had a four-under-par 68 to share the lead with Duffy Waldorf.

Woods, coming off a two-week break, began his march to the Masters with a routine 69. He was joined by six others, including one-hit wonder Mike Nicolette, who won at Bay Hill in 1983.

Karrie Webb, seeking her fifth victory in five 2000 starts, shot a five-under 67 for a share of the first-round lead in the Standard Register PING at Phoenix.

Annika Sorenstam of Sweden, the winner last week in Tucson, also opened with a 67.

Kellee Booth of Rancho Santa Margarita shot a 73.
