Mid-Size Moola

With approximately 300 scenery, costume and lighting designers now residing in Southern California, it was refreshing to see not only one but several individual articles March 5 about the developing mid-size theater scene, specifically “A Theater District, L.A.-Style.”

As producing organizations and the community of collaborative artists grow, hopefully, an important element in the evolution of a true theater community will be addressed: appropriate compensation for all the creative participants concerned with a production.
