SAN CLEMENTE
The City Council gave conceptual approval for a special event permit that will allow the Billabong Pro surfing event to take place at T Street Beach from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2.
The city will notify all affected residents who live in the Pier Bowl area about the contest and invite people to participate in a workshop to help plan for it.
The recommendations from the workshop will be brought before the City Council for consideration.
