Autodesk Says FTC Ends Probe

Autodesk Inc., a maker of computer design software for engineers and architects, said the Federal Trade Commission has ended an investigation of the company’s business practices without filing charges. For two years, the FTC examined whether San Rafael, Calif.-based Autodesk configured its AutoCAD computer-aided design software to sabotage rival Visio Corp.’s IntelliCADD software. Seattle-based Visio was acquired by Microsoft Corp. earlier this year for about $1.5 billion in stock.
