4 Men Arrested After Gunman Holds Up Bank

Sheriff’s deputies arrested four men allegedly involved in a bank robbery Friday, including a gunman who had fled into a storm drain after being shot by a security guard, detectives said.

The wounded man, Eric Ruiz, 20, was treated for his wounds before being booked on suspicion of armed robbery.

The names of the other three men arrested were unavailable.

After getting about $3,000, authorities said, the robber aimed his pistol at a security guard who followed him out of the Frontier State Bank on Sepulveda Boulevard. The guard opened fire.

Los Angeles police arrested three men who were waiting in a car, but the gunman, leaving a trail of blood, fled into the storm drain. Officers said he was arrested later in Wilmington.
