LAGUNA HILLS
The City Council will vote tonight on plans to build a new EZ Lube in the northeastern corner of the Western Country Plaza’s parking lot on Oso and Moulton parkways.
The 20,787-square-foot area would consist of a 1,750-square-foot building with three service bays and a basement area for employees to work under cars. Oil storage tanks would also be stored in the basement.
Residents living around the plaza have expressed concerns to city officials about the development’s compatibility to their area.
Residents protested a 24-hour gas station proposed for the same site in 1996. The City Council denied the project after residents objected to an increase in traffic and projected crime rates.
The City Council will meet at 7 p.m. in chambers, 25201 Paseo de Alicia, Suite 150, Laguna Hills.
