Performances to Grow On will present the Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble on Friday in a program called “Incredible Feets” that combines music, comedy, singing and percussive dance. Since 1979, Footworks has performed internationally on a Smithsonian tour of Japan and as guest artists with Riverdance in London. Dance styles are rooted in such cultures as South Africa, Canada, Ireland, England and the American South.

Lakeside Fair

The 10th annual Ojai Renaissance Faire & Shakespeare Festival will be celebrated this weekend by more than 800 costumed actors, 50 merchants, two Shakespearean theater groups and numerous dancers, musicians and street performers. The festival also features themed foods, a Queen’s court, tavern and a children’s activity area.

Egg-stasy

The 21st annual California Egg Artistry Show and Sale begins Saturday with local members of the Tri-County Egg Artists Club, Southern California Egg Artists Club and international egg artists displaying and selling their intricately decorated eggshells. Shells range in size from a 3/8-inch finch egg to the 18-inch ostrich egg. The show also features supplies, miniatures and classes.

Cal Lutheran University’s Scandinavian Festival will overflow with culture as musicians, actors, lecturers and dancers show off Saturday and Sunday. The festival features flags, anthems, costumes, a Viking encampment reenactment, a living history program, lectures, theatrical presentations, an Icelandic exhibit, smorgasbord and more.
