LAPD Scandal
Re “Riordan Analyzes Roots of Police Scandal,” April 27: It’s not merely the supervisors at LAPD who are responsible for the scandal. Each and every police officer who chose to mind his or her own business, who chose not to snitch on fellow officers, is also responsible. Those “code of silence” adherents made it possible for abuses to occur, prosper and flourish. Even followers have to be held responsible for their actions!
