Pink Dot, Sparkletts Make Deal for Mutual Promotion

Pink Dot Inc. in Camarillo has signed a multiyear marketing agreement with Sparkletts Water that calls for each company to promote the other to its extensive home-delivery customer base.

“Partnering with Sparkletts Water . . . will allow Pink Dot to leverage our existing customer base as we expand into new markets,” said Dan Frederickson, Pink Dot’s chief executive. “Combined, we have a magnitude of expertise in the home-delivery marketplace.”

Steve Sparks, vice president of sales and marketing for Sparkletts Retail Products group, said the alliance will add value to both companies.

“Pink Dot is growing rapidly in the dynamic e-commerce arena and is expanding its reach in many markets, which are also key markets for Sparkletts,” Sparks said. “Pink Dot will offer its customers a wide array of Sparkletts personal and bulk products.”

Founded in 1987, privately held Pink Dot is an online grocery delivery shopping service that currently has more than 100,000 customers.

Sparkletts is the flagship brand of McKesson Water Products Co., a division of Danone Group with headquarters in Pasadena.
