1st-Quarter Net Up 65% for Cheesecake Factory

The Cheesecake Factory Inc. in Calabasas reported net earnings for the first quarter ended March 28 of $6 million, a 65% increase over net income of $3.6 million for the first quarter of 1999. Revenues rose %28 to $96.1 million from $74.8 million.

The company operates more than 34 restaurants and a commercial bakery.
