LAGUNA BEACH

Born and raised in Laguna Beach, resident Belinda Blacketer grew up with the Festival of Arts as a basic staple of life.

Her father was an exhibitor at the summer venue and she remembers playing in a park that is now the Tivoli Terrace.

The local arts institution is the subject of her book, “The Dream, the Promise and the Legacy, the History of Irvine Bowl Park, the Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters.”

Blacketer, an attorney who represents nonprofit organizations, presented an overview of the book at the Laguna Canyon Conservancy’s Monday fund-raising dinner at Tivoli Terrace.
