Other earnings, excluding one-time gains or charges unless noted, include:
* AMFM Inc.’s first-quarter loss narrowed to $161.6 million, or 75 cents a share, as sales rose 49% to $521.3 million.
* Charter Communications Inc. had a first-quarter loss of $180.7 million, or 81 cents a share, as the cable television operator controlled by billionaire Paul Allen upgraded its network for new services. The company, which first sold shares in November, declined to provide figures for the year-ago period because it said they weren’t comparable. Sales rose 6.8% to $759.3 million.
* Electronic Arts Inc.’s fiscal fourth-quarter earnings slid to 16 cents a share from 35 cents a year ago, but exceeded forecasts of 14 cents. Revenue grew 6% to $294.3 million. Including acquisition-related costs, net income fell 84% to $3.4 million, or 5 cents a share.
* Humana Inc.’s first-quarter profit fell 36% to $21 million, or 13 cents a share, missing estimates by two cents, because of higher medical and administrative costs. Revenue rose 7.2% to $2.64 billion on increases in premiums.
