Raytheon Co.’s El Segundo-based sensors and electronic systems division has won an $8.9-million contract to build nine radar receivers for the Australian air force, the Defense Department said. The AN/APG-73 devices, which help locate targets in the air and on the ground, will be mounted on F/A-18 fighter planes for the Australians. The devices will be built by the end of 2002.
