Walt Disney Chairman Michael Eisner has added another home to his Malibu bluff-side compound with his purchase of a residence on almost one acre for close to its asking price of $4.9 million.

Eisner, 58, and his wife, Jane, paid slightly more than $5 million in 1996 for two oceanfront lots and an adjacent house next to his newly purchased property in a private enclave behind gates.

A building permit for “a major estate with a pool and a tennis court” was included in the ’96 deal. Construction is underway on the main house.

The property that Eisner just bought has a three-bedroom main house plus two guest houses and oceanfront decks, all built in 1972. The home also has a pathway from the bluff to the beach.

Altogether, Eisner’s Malibu properties total more than three acres and have at least 140 feet of private beach.

The Eisners, who have been married since 1967 and have three grown sons, have owned a home in Beverly Hills since 1979. They had some land in the Beverly Hills area but decided to build in Malibu instead, sources have said.

Eric Eisner, the middle son of Michael and Jane Eisner, has purchased a three-bedroom 3,000-square-foot house in the Hollywood Hills for about $1.6 million.

Eisner, 26, is co-founder of Romp.com (https://www.romp.com), a Web site that he has been quoted in The Times as saying is “for people who watch ‘South Park,’ listen to Howard Stern and read Maxim.”

Although bathroom humor and innuendo permeate the site, Eisner and his business partner, Bruce Forman, 28, have said that their humor isn’t meant to be racist or sexist and that the site is not meant to put anybody down. Launched April 1, the site is free and as yet has no advertising.

Built in 1970, Eisner’s house was recently renovated and has a pool.

Garrison Key of Key Properties, West Hollywood, represented Eisner, and Barry Peele of Sotheby’s, Beverly Hills, had the listing, sources said.

Tom Langan, executive producer and head writer of the long-running NBC daytime series “Days of Our Lives,” has purchased a home in Malibu for just under its $3.9-million asking price, and he has listed his home in Bel-Air at $2.25 million. “Days of Our Lives” has aired on TV since 1965.

Langan’s new home, a Mediterranean contemporary, has three bedrooms plus maid’s quarters in 4,000 square feet. Built in 1976, the house is on an acre with tropical gardens, a babbling brook and ocean views.

The Bel-Air home, which Langan built in 1998, has three bedroom suites plus maid’s quarters in about 3,400 square feet. Designed by architect Marc Appleton, the Tuscan-style farmhouse also has canyon-to-ocean views.

Reva and Bill Tavelman at DBL Realtors, Beverly Hills, have the listing.

Sandy Gallin, the Hollywood manager-producer who became chief executive of Las Vegas-based Mirage Entertainment & Sports, has purchased a three-acre Malibu property that once housed the late actor Vincent Price’s artist’s studio.

Gallin, who loves to buy and redo houses, already owns another Malibu home. In October, he bought the late comedian-actor Flip Wilson’s house for about $3 million.

The property Gallin just bought has a 3,000-square-foot house with two bedrooms and a guest apartment. It also has a pathway to the beach. The artist’s studio was razed in the ‘60s when the house was built.

The purchase price on the property, which was not listed, was undisclosed, but home sales in the neighborhood range from about $4 million to $8 million.

Jeff Hyland of Hilton & Hyland, Beverly Hills, represented the sellers, sources said.

The longtime Malibu Colony home of the late screenwriter Ivan Goff, who was also co-creator of the ‘70s TV series “Charlie’s Angels,” has been sold for about $3.2 million.

Goff, who died in September at 89, and his writing partner, the late Ben Roberts, wrote 25 movies, including “White Heat,” starring James Cagney.

The 2,000-square-foot house, built in 1930, has four bedrooms plus a guest apartment, beach-side patio and oceanfront sun deck.

Katie Bentzen of Fred Sands Estates, Malibu, was the selling agent, and Ann Fulton, of the same office, had the listing.

A former home of the late Lillian Disney, Walt Disney’s widow, has come on the market at $21 million, the highest current asking price for a private residence in Malibu. The estate includes an entire cove and almost 200 feet of sandy beach.

There are also two main residences and a beach house on the 5.5-acre property.

One house, which has ocean views, has three bedrooms plus a library, maid’s room, office, media room, sun room, wine room, pool and 13-car garage.

The other main residence, on its own promontory, has five bedrooms, an outside fireplace on an ocean-view patio, a tennis court and a 75-foot lap pool.

The beach house, on a low bluff above the sand and surf, has four bedrooms and beach access.

There is also a landscaped parcel of nearly two acres, which has two large lawns, fruit trees and roses. It has a private gated entry and a private path to the beach.

Jack Pritchett and Gary Marquis of Pritchett-Rapf & Associates, Malibu, have the listing.
