For a $350 donation, historic airplane enthusiasts can enjoy a flight on a B-24 or B-17 World War II bomber today, Wednesday or Thursday at John Wayne Airport.
Both planes, the “Dragon and his Tail” and “Nine-O-Nine,” will be parked adjacent to Signature Flight Support at the airport and are part of a tribute to the airmen who participated in the war. Both planes sport nose art painted on the planes as a talisman for a safe return. For $7, a tour of both planes is also available. They will be at the airport for three days at varying times.
To book a flight, call Dee Brush at (904) 451-9508. For more information, call (949) 263-5800.
